# Simon Singh at the Tory Conference

Introduced Simon Singh last night as he addressed the meeting in Manchester [organised by the BHA](http://www.humanism.org.uk/news/view/367 "BHA report on Simon Singh event") to celebrate the first anniversary of the [Conservative Humanist Association](http://conservativehumanist.net "Conservative Humanist Association") (going from strength to strength). He gave a great talk, focussing on his current struggles against the British Chiropractic Association, who are suing him for libel.

The joke’s on them, as their actions have provoked a big campaign against allowing the libel laws into the realm of public scientific debate led by Sense about Science, which [everyone should support](http://www.senseaboutscience.org.uk/index.php/site/project/333/ "Sense about Science").
