I was on BBC Radio 4’s Beyond Belief, alongside Yusuf Patel and Dr David Landrum, discussing Relationship Education and why children have a right to learn about the facts of life to help them lead healthy, happy and safe lives as they grow up.

Parents will always be the ultimate care-givers and guardians of their children, but children too have rights – such as the right to true information about the world, and society, and themselves in order to grow up happy and healthy and safe and society as a whole has a legitimate interest, through our schools, in making sure that children have the values and virtues that will make them effective and informed and generous citizens. Children are not the mere possessions of their parents, to do with as they will.
