# Appearance on Good Morning Britain

I appeared on *Good Morning Britain* today to discuss a recent study that has found that defendants who don’t ‘swear by Almighty God’ in court are [more likely to be found guilty](https://humanists.uk/2023/04/04/call-for-end-to-oaths-in-court-as-study-finds-jurors-biased-against-the-non-religious/) by jurors who do.

The digressions into whether jurors are biased in other ways and the presenter advising non-religious people to lie and take an oath rather obscured the point of this story – there is a problem with this system and it can be easily reformed to make justice better!
