Debating at the Oxford Union

Took part in a debate at the Oxford Union last night with Peter Atkins and Simon Blackburn against speakers including the former Bishop of Oxford, Lord Harries, and Theos director Paul Woolley. The motion put foward was that ‘Religion is a force for good in this country.’

My speech emphasised that the flimsy equation of religion with morality was wrong – you can read more about the debate here.
